I went to high school with Sammie when she was just a freshman. It's so much fun seeing these ladies (and gents) grow up! I remember how I always thought seniors looked so big when I was a freshman - and yeah, I don't think that anymore!! hahah. Sammie wanted to do something a little bit different for her senior pictures, so I thought one of my favorite coffee shops in town would be perfect.

I recommended we hit up Bean and Barley, one of my favorite coffee shops in Cincinnati!
I originally discovered it through Amanda and Ben, and am now a regular! We took full advantage of the space. After grabbing delicious drinks, we started outside on the patio, and then headed inside and wandered down to the basement patio.

I love the subtle variety, and how bright and lively the pictures turned out!
Bonus--Sammie brought her very big and energetic puppy and snuck him in a few pictures!
If you have something meaningful that you want to bring but aren't sure whether or not it'll work for your photos, just ask! I also have an entire post about props for your senior session - so take a peek!

I love when seniors bring their personality, fashion sense, and meaningful things with them to their shoot! Sammie was the very definition of this! As much as I love a beautiful field or cityscape, it's definitely a fun challenge to be in a smaller, unique space!
