Hi, hey, howdy! I'm excited to share this wedding at the Woman's Club of Evanston on the blog today! Out of all the weddings I've been lucky enough to photograph, this one was absolutely the most meaningful to me. I've known Wesley's younger brothers, Will and Josh, for about seven years and counting. Then last year, his older sister Katie and I lived pretty close to each other in Chicago and became closer, and I've gotten to know Wesley and his now wife (!!!) Beatriz throughout all the other gatherings I've been invited to.
I cry at almost every wedding, which is crazy to me since I'm a pretttty cynical person, and after seeing wedding after wedding every month, I would never expect to cry at all of them. But this one didn't take much for me to get a little teary-eyed, especially while everyone was singing during the ceremony.
The day started with a thunderstorm, heavy rain, and dark skies, but by the time we were all ready for pictures outdoors, the weather was beautiful, and no one would have ever guessed it had rained. We got the good luck rain, and the good-photo sunshine :)
Not only was this wedding filled with people who I've known for years, but one of my close friends Rebecca, who I've only known for a little over a year, second shot this wedding with me, which made it that much more special.

This combination of the red bowtie, the green invites, and the gold rings is giving me hard core fall/winter vibes. And I really love it together.

Meanwhile in the other end of the building, Beatriz + her bridesmaids were getting ready, having a blast, and looking beautiful as ever:

I love love love when a couple does a first look, so I was THRILLED to hear they were doing one! A first look gives the couple a chance to get the nerves out before the ceremony, see each other, hang out in peace for a minute (since the rest of the day is filled with lots of excitement, but also lots of people...), and really feel like they're going into this together.
Plus, the sunroom at The Woman's Club of Evanston is a gorgeous, naturally-lit space for a first look.

In this case, they got a little extra time to see their officiant and friend, and pray before the day really kicks off for this fun brunch wedding at The Woman's Club of Evanston.

Annnnnd they're married!
And feelin' like this:

I'm totally into mix and match bridesmaids dresses right now, even when it's subtle. All the shades of blush and different shapes of dress fit everyone so well, added so much dimension, and can we talk about this walking image? Someone frame it for me. All these ladies are super talented too, because they helped arrange these flowers which I was, as you may guess, obsessing over all day (quietly). Flowers are always one of my favorite things to see since you don't get a sneak peek like you do with music selection, or the dresses, or hair and makeup...and they're always so much fun!
This was also the first of two wedding in the fall where the bridesmaids wore blush, and it just proves that pink and blush are awesome colors for any season! I especially loved them in the garden.

Cheers to being Mr. and Mrs. !

The day at the Woman's Club of Evanston ended with sunshine and the happiest little bubble exit, and away into their neon orange Dodge Charger they went! Hope y'all are having a grand time on your honeymoon and being freaking MARRIED!!! Cheers!
